Ivy League financial aid changes have only marginal impact

In spite of the tone of some articles, there’s going to be a much smaller national impact than people realize of recent financial aid changes announced at a few Ivy League schools. We’ve already suggested that there’s a real chance of a backlash here with hopeful parents being handed a nasty surprise when they face the reality of financial aid packages at 95% (or more) of the nation’s colleges and universities. The endowment simply isn’t there to support the kind of massive discounting being carried out at few Top Tier universities.
