It’s not too clear where this ranked list of the world’s engineering schools came from, but I do wonder about the relative placement of some schools. For example, I find it hard to understand the ranking of University College London and Indian Institute of Technology (both fine schools, by the way) above Stanford (where the much of the personal computer and Internet industries were born). Still, if nothing else lists like these are thought-provoking and stimulating of late night arguements….
